ive got a ps2 with magic3... when i play dvd-r games, after playing for a while, game freezes. only happening with dvd-r games, cd-r and dvd-rip games works fine. Maybe if i install a swith for turning off the mod while in gameplay will fix the freezing probs? anyone knows? thanks

Try this first; Go to mainmenue (boot without a disc in the ps2), press triangle, choose Playstation® Driver and press triangle, choose discspeed, and set it to fast.
This might be the trick for you as well.
You need to do this every time you power it up though as it resets when u turn it off....

Probably not. Details are over in the Homebrew forum. I haven't looked, but it might be as simple as cutting an existing wire at mid-point and installing a SPDT switch inline. (Single Pole - Double Throw)
