I currently have a V4 ps2 that i bought around the summer of 01. Which format of dvds do you think would work best with my ps2? I've heard all sorts of stories about better compatiability with
dvd-r's but faster loads with dvd+r's.

Get -r. The ps2 likes them better. Oh yeah, go with Ritek.
dvd-r. never had a problem with it.
use either one, but if you use +r's use the booktype setting and change them to dvd-rom. did this and never had a problem.
where can you get ritek branded dvds? i can't seem to find them anywhere?
are there any other alternative brands that still work well? Any reccomendations/suggestions on brands or anything is welcomed.
Look online. They are everywhere. Check pricewatch.com if you want to find a bunch of links in one place, or go to meritline.com--they almost always have a good buy going on the G03 or G04. The trick is to buy in quantity. Anything less than a 50pc cake can be a bit pricey.Originally posted by anchovies

Raist
I've tried both, with varying results. Here's the best one's of each, that I've found & give a good burn 99% of the time;
DVD+R = Imation
DVD-R = Datawrite Classic (Recognisable by their Yellow Back)
never used a +, i get datasafe with the ritek dye and not had a problem with them, also "infiniti" dvd-r are very good too, can find some at a quite nice price here http://www.lordofthedeals.co.uk/acat...iti_DVD_R.html
