DVD-R DL don´t boot

I have been tested a backup from MC3 Dub Remix on a DVD-R DL and no success, using DVD+R DL everything OK!

No it´s not booktype because i don´t have changed de DVD+R booktype to DVD-ROM.

I have Infinity 1.82 modded V7 PS2.

Maybe on incoming firmwares the infinity will improve the compat.

Now is two DVD-R DL to the dust....

Seens the PS2 can´t read the second layer....

Dvd-r DL can't work with any chip or patcher
this because the breakpoint of a Dvd-r DL is already set by manufacturing
so it is not possible to change or patch it
this is wat the toxicpatcher or infinity firmware is doing

just stay on DVD+r Dl and you will be fine

there is something to that, the reason that toxic thing was made to fix in the first place, about how the way the layers are, and how they are read, is different, I'm trying to remember where I read that, so I can read it more carefully, this needs more research on my part to understand what that tool does, exactly, what the difference is and what it means. I thoght that it was worth a shot, if you had'nt though, I still would have done it too, I've killed a few +R DL's, though usually when my drive hickups the burnspeed, it does that, sometimes. God of war never worked, tried that 2 or 3 times, making dual layer coasters with each attempt. Will those work any better at keeping rings off my coffe table?

As mentioned above D/L DVD-R are less compatible than D/L DVD+R. Something about the format on the D/L DVD-R is screwy. Honestly I don't know why anyone bothers with them as they are less compatible and more expensive than the D/L DVD+R. Stick with Verbatim D/L DVD+R and be sure to set the booktype to DVD-ROM and you will enjoy the greatest success.
