dvd-r brands... –
I was wondering what's a good quality brand DVD-Rs to get?
Looking for a few things since I'm new to DVD burning...
1) Good deal on price
2) Quality, Lastibility, and Compatibility
This would be burning anything... backing up movies, ps2 games, data, etc.
My burner is the Pioneer A07... any ideas?
EDIT: Forgot to mention... I currently have Memorex 4x DVD-Rs... are these any good?
Memorex in my experience sucks. Had a 100 pack and about 12 turned into coasters with 14 others skipping on dvd playback and a few more getting the dirty disc read error on my xbox. My v7 ps2 didn't mind them much but I still dont care for them.
Go with Ritek. 4X are ~ $1.00 now and they are really good for everything. DVD Playback, PS2, Xbox, you name it.
www.Rima.com 4x Riteks $98.78 3 day shiping $92 shiped ground
www.meritline.com 4x riteks 94.00 free ground shiping but usely takes like 5-6 days shiping me i rather pay $4 more and have it shiped in 3 days.
Supermediastore.com has a 50x spindle of Ritek G04's for $48, free shipping! G04's are the top of the line 4x media, and have never failed me in over 200 burns!
I order mine from meritline.com also.
My last order was 50 Ritek G03's and 50 DVD cases for $60.99 shippingincluded.
Ritek has been very good me, works everytime and they are well priced.
Thanks for the replies!
Few more questions....
How's Samsung DVD-Rs? Also which Ritek do I get? lol There's like 4 different choices....
Samsung, I don't know. Ritek's, I usually just go with the normal, silver matte topped discs, none of those goofy "glossy white" or any other suface type.
Ritek G04 blank whitetop disks.
50pk @ $45.00 on www.newegg.com
I have thrown alot at these disks and they work every time. Movies, games, data, music, you name it.......they play smooth as silk on everything if you burn at 2x.
