im looking to purchase a dvd burner mainly to burn ps2 games. after much research, i have came up with serveral results. from what i have read from this forum, the pioneer series seems to be pretty reliable/popular. im considering the pioneer a07/107. ive also read good reviews about sony's DRU-530A drive. Both burn at about the same rate.

which one should i get? im stuck.
If anyone has burned with either one of these drives, could you tell me how it was. thanks

haha it doesn't matter what drive speed you have, it's safest to burn at 1x anyway...unless you don't have time to waste....

my 2 cents....all burners seem to work the same these days, i just found hte cheapest LG i could find and i've only had 1 bad burn out of 150 dvds so far

just find the media that's right for your burner, and you should be OK!!!

What do you base that on? A reliable burner such as a Pioneer model coupled with good media (including Ritek G04 and Verbatim), will have NO issues burning at top speed.

Ritek G04 and RecordNow Deluxe, which comes with your A07, does a great job.

At this point you might want to wait for the dual layer burners.
