Simply, what do you think is the best dvd burner overall? Thanks.
I have the first type of Sony DVD Burner that came out 2 years ago. I believe it is a DRU-500 or something. It will burn DVD+ and DVD-. It originally would only burn at 2x, but there was a firmware update that brought it to 4x. So far it has not faild me yet.
Just curious if any one knows anything good or bad about the new Sony DRU-530A? It is an 8x burner and on sell at CC.
Alot of people have the Pioneer brand. I have read that the Pioneer A06 is suppose to have dvd9 support with a firmware update.
Can anyone with an A06 verify this DVD9 statement??????Quote:

Pioneer has created a DVD9 firmware for the A06, but they might not release it for fear of piracy increases.
fear of piracy increasing? yea right, fear of not selling as many dvd9 burners at a jacked up price is more like it.
I have a Pioneer A06, i bought it last week juss because of the DVD9 support and yeah its tru, you can burn DVD9 with a firmware update. It doesn't work yet however, due to lack of DVD9 media
