When I back up a DVD using DVD Decrypter it makes a MDF file along with the ISO. Do I need this file? Does it act like a .CUE file?

Not sure myself but I always use Nero and open MDS/BIN files as they are. You don't really need the MDF/CUE file in Nero, just burn it in RAW mode and always make sure Disc-At-Once is checked, if its CD then always make sure its Mode2/XA aswell. No problems so far.

The MDS file is like a cue file. I always burn that when I'm burning using DVD Decryptor...
