  1. #1 dms3 question
    voldak Guest
I apologize in advance for this n00bish question. Anyway, I bought the dms3 modchip and sent it off to get installed. I got it back, and the ps2 originals work fine, so do ps1 originals and backups. But i can not get cd-r dvdrips to play or read on my ps2. I have a version 4 US ps2.

    Thank you for your help.

Upgrade your firmware to 1.6C it should solve the problem.

ok, i have a problem. I downloaded the 1.6c upgrade and burned it to a cd. Now i don't know how it will install on the ps2. I put in the cd into the ps2, what mode do i boot it in? I've tried various modes and still nothing.

Just let it boot like a normal CD, you should get the DMS3 Logo instead of the PlayStation 2 Logo, after that it will upgrade itself.

ok u need to try using a prog called burnatonce, or master your own ps2 disc from the files (which are downloadable at dms3.com). a lot of people had probs with 1.6c including me, i just used burnatonce and it worked.

btw why dont u register at the dms3 forums, u can get answers to things like this just by searching old posts there.
