dms3 instalation (explain barney style please)

To who it may concern,
can you explain to me when following installation diagrams for the dms3. i see alternatives in the diagram, should i ignore the fact that it says alternative and if ( T ) is down twice i can connect the wire to either ( T )? I was hoping someone can help me be able to see this diagram as being more direct to where i have to solder my wires.

bluejader1: What version PS2 are you installing the DMS3 on? Are you using the diagrams from DMS3.com ?
