DMS 3 issue or DVD-R issue?

Hi,

I am not sure what the problem is with my PS2 but most games I have either don't load or load then crash.

I am running the following setup.

PS2 v10
DMS 3v9
Ritek DVD-R
DVD Decrypter to rip then DVD Decrypter or Clone DVD to write.

SSX3 loads every time - go to start the game and it just crashes. Gets to 43% loading and dies?

Backed up my copy of Prince of Persia. Games loads nearly every time. Once loaded the game starts, then I go through the curtain on the first screen and you get the Prince Of Persia logo just revolves around doing nothing? Left for over 20 mins and I had to reset the PS2?

Am I doing something wrong with my backups or is it the DMS 3?

Solved the booting option - read the thread about booting with DMS3 from (Replay) I think. Thanks for that.

I am now using Record Now Max - redone alot of games and they are all working ok except for Prince of Persia.

Does this game need a patch? It either crashes on the Start up screen - start option dosen't come up. Or is crashes just after I go throught the curtain on the start?


Any ideas anyone?

The miracles of Burn at Min speed within RecordNow Max - seemed to have done the trick!

Prince Of Crap has become Prince of Persia

Lesson learnt of a newbie such as myself - check and double check the forums for answers, burn at low speed. Make sure it is quiet at work (New Years Eve) when using their Sony DVD burner and don't get angry when you have wasted 6 DVD-R on one game.

Prince of persia is a great game and my backup is working fine on dms3v9.
