    Hi there !

    I have a v9 ps2 with the infinity matrix on.Today I tried to burn
some games with my Pioneer 108D.I used Philips and Ridisc DVDR's.
I managed to burn 2 or 3 games but some games won't play. One of
them is WRC 4.I have burned this game 4 times on Ridisc and Philips
media but the ps2 will always give me the message "This disc cannot be played"
on a black screen and hang there. It is strange because the other games
play normaly. Can anyone give me advice on this? I burn the DVD's at
4x because that is the lower speed the 108D will allow me to burn.
I have also applied the Romeo mod.Do you think that the laser doesn't
have enough power because of 5v instead of 12?
    Please help!!!

Guys anyone some opinion? I also need to mention that the
games play fine from the original dvd's and when copied to
    the hard disk from Hdl_dump.

What software are you using to burn the games?

If you have a pioneer 108d you can use a hacked firmware to burn it at 2x.

I used Dvddecrypter , Alcohol 120% and Nero Burning rom.I have my pioneer
hacked with the latest firmware 1.18.I dont have any options below 4x.You
think that this is a burning problem or ps2 laser problem? Also when I rip
the games with dvddecrypter it creates an MDF file like alcohol.Should I
use this file as a selection or the standard iso? The MDF file is 4kb only.

I havent used dvddecrypter yet but I normally just use alchol 120 on my 108D(running this hacked firmware http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=29958) and it makes perfect copy's when using ridata -R ,I have used philips media and its very bad and will have read errors(not as bad as princo but still),I have never heard of Ridisc before.

Have you tryed some other branded media like verbatim, mitsubishi or ridata?

Also try using + intead of - or other way around.

Yes please, The MDF file is a bit like the CUE file when u do a Cue/bin cd-copy. The MDF/CUE contains information on how the disc image (ISO/BIN) is created.

If your pc-HDD is in FAT32 format it cannot contain files larger than 3,9gb in size. So if u try to backup a game bigger than 3,9gb - Dvddecrypter/Alcohol does a really clever thing and creates the ISO/BIN in smaller files (usually 1gb in size) instead of one big. To keep track of the files a MDF/CUE file is made.

If your pc-HDD is Ntfs DVDDecrypter might make a MDF even tho' u can make files bigger than 3,9gb - Id use the MDF anyways tho' - just to be sure.
