    hi
    i copied def jam vendetta onto a memorex blank dvd+r with nero
    i used the knife trick with my action replay (the one released in the US)
    and it doesn't work
    does it need a patch?
    can someone help me?

    hey man you usually use DVD+R/these brand?
    i ask cuz i cant use them, maybe thats your prolem

    Memorex suck. Get a different brand. Not sure what version ps2 you have, but the knife trick doesn't work on a v7.

    i have a v3 are u sure i need a different brand (which brand is good)?
    and should i get a patch before making a 1:1 copy of the game
    also does my action replay matter because it was the one that was just released a few months ago

    Do not use +r if you have a v3. Very rarely does a v3 read +r/+rw. v1-v4 should use -r only. v5-v8 can usually use anything with success. Stay away from Memorex. I have heard a lot of bad things about them in the ps2 backup world.

    also what is cheaper
    does the knife trick work with all games (even if they are ea games) when u make a 1:1 copy with nero

    Use rima.com to get some Ritek dvd-r. They are tops. The knife trick should work for most if not all games.
