*Plextor PX-716UF (dual layer) External Burner
    *8x max speed TDK DVD+R
    *Nero v6.01
*Orginal Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 Game (US Version)

When I tried to copy the DVD with Nero, it says "failed reading data" or something simular to that. I guess the burner doesn't support 2x so I had to use 4x speed. What should I do?

Should I try to rip the game into an ISO first then burn? or use a different way to burn?

(I didn't change any options when burning, all defaults)

alright, I ripped the game w/ DVD Decrypter, here's a screenshot at the bottom.

    *564 Retries
*Manually clicked retry for "I/O Error" for 5~8 times

Is this ISO gonna fly or it'll fail when I try to burn it?

best bet is to try on hdloader first to test out. confirmed working on hdloader. you shouldnt burn with nero, many say it works fine for them but the same ammount say they have problems with it so just steer clear altogehter. stick with dvd decrypter or alcohol to burn and you should be fine.

btw you used the wrong mode when ripping...says so right on the log. use iso mode instead of file or stream. there is an option for it. it shouldnt have those errors if you use iso mode.

That iso is ok, as there were errors which were corrected by the reader. Probably small scratches on the disk surface.

He probably started dvd decrypter in file mode, the program scanned the disk gave the error message and then he switeched to iso mode. The process is ok, I'd burn that with Decrypter or Recordnow at 4x onto a quality media.

    regards, Stephen

thanx bladezero and stephen, the log did show that I was using the wrong mode, but I saw the log before ripping and changed it to "ISO Read" I'll try to burn the ISO with DVD Decrypter and see how it goes. Thanx again for your helps.
