As you know many early ps2 titles were release on CD rather then DVD and yes I still play them ^^. Anyway, CD based games make my PS2 spin like mad and it's very loud. I want to convert one of my CD games to DVD which don't make a noise. Anyway I can do it? I tired making an image and buring it with nero on a DVD, but nero spat out the DVD and gave me "wrong media" error.

Kewl it works, thank you very much. The only complicated part of this process was figuring out cddvdgen. Luckily google search lead to a tutorial which helped out a lot. Who would have thought disc name means executible file name ^^. Also I had to stick in a big dummy file because cddvdgen refused to make an image because it was below 600000 sectors. It's Ridge Racer V btw which is only 630mb. Always wanted to convert it to dvd, love the game it's the very first PS2 game I ever played. Now it plays super quiet in my PS2, time to play =). Thanks again.

Ok, I'll take that back. During the first race the music cuts off. Then when it's time to load the next track the game does not respond, it just get's stuck at the loading screen and the cd isn't spinning I think. I knew it was too easy lol.

vulcan dvdscan doesnt scan subfolders. that means you have to select all the files in the root folder and scan those then you gotta go within each folder and select all the files within each of those subfolders and scan em.
