Contra:SS, Mortal Kombat:deadly alliance, Soul Calibur II =ANTIMOD?

I burned the three games using prime CDRs (Verbatim) at 4x (my burner wont go lower) using nero 5.5

i have v4 with a DMS3 fitted, laser calib ok,
ALL other tested CDRs (PS and PS2), DVDRs (movie and game) work fine.

When i insert the game, switch on the PS2 and hold "X" for games:

1 Bootupscreen ->
2 Blackscreen, some activity in the drive ->
3 screen showing memcard and PS2-disk next to it ->
4 if disk is chosen -> goto 2

i tried to patch soulcalibur with the adr. - patcher, but it does not change anything

helps, hints or guidance would be appreciated, thanx in advance

i was playing it last night besides you can get it practally everywhere

1. put the gam in
2. hold reset to turn it off
3. press reset to turn it back on and it should load up, that sum times happens with my ffx-2

but i tried all the different bootmethods....

may it be, that dms3 simply cant handle newer games?
the 1.2 update never states sthg about higher compatibility, only some fixes in DVD-playback and freezing up games, which doesnt occur on my ps2, so i did not flash it

i also tried the gran turismo concept rip, which starts to boot, gets the "be a safe driver and wear your seatbelt blabla" and then the screen wents dark...

also i made the following observation:
using cdrs of ps2 games makes the laser squeak and rattle some, while on PS1-cdrs, it behaves very silent

i know that for contra ,it must be ea patched and when you lunch the game you must remove all mem cards and joystics till the mem card menu appears
for others ,i don't have any problem

I cannot say for contra, but Mortal Kombat:deadly alliance, Soul Calibur II both work fine and without problems. if you can try the games on another system if it still doesn't work then there is a chance that the data is corrupt.

which mod are you using?

if dms3, have you patched the bios up to 1.2?
