Cheap ass Princo dvdr –
I buy those cheap ass Princo dvdrs. I have never had a problem with the media until now. Well, the last seven or so dvdrs out of the 50 were not burnable. I kept getting errors (tried burning with five different programs) when I tried to burn a movie or game. I tried one my neighbor's Princo dvdrs and it burned with success. I have a Pioneer A04. Is it the cheap media? Could it be a problem with the A04? Could the problem just be with those seven (it was the last seven on the spindle) dvdrs?
Probably just bad media. Make sure the firmware is updated on your pioneer a04.
Id say just bad media. Bad 7 out of the 50 see if you can send them back so you can get new ones.
you get what you pay for...go visit dvdrhelp.com ...theres many accounts of your same problem...some of the upper portion and the lower portions always have errors...this doesn't happen with every batch but its pretty common...same goes for ritek....if there's so many of these sort of stories then you gotta know something's fishy........princo,ritek and accus(accus a little more reliable) are always hit and miss....you never know what your gonna get...it doesnt' matter if you buy them from rima or your grandaddy..you don't know if it's gonna be f'ed up.... that's not to say stay away from all generic ,because alot of people have had good sucess with other types even the princo's and riteks....but bottom line....
---YOU NEVER KNOW
--you get what you pay for....
thats very true. I had a couple of riteks in a 25 pack that gave errors. I also had a Fuji 25 Pack of DVD+R and they worked flawlessly but the price was high. Peeps is right most of the time you get what you pay for.
I'm not so sure...My ps2 is retarded. First off, it loves Generic stuff (Goes for CD-R's and DVD-Rs even). I've had Memorex CD-R's not boot a lot, and actually I've had the most trouble with Verbatim CD-R'S! I can boot Generic, no name shit with no prob, but can't boot Verb hardly??? DVD-R's were about the same story until my laser started messing up (it's old, and starting to die now-Year and half). Princo work fine, Ritek worked fine, but lots of the Higher media didn't. It's mainly about luck I guess...Some people have a great deal of trouble with cheap media...Some say "it's fine." Whatever works for you...
i have had problems with princo and it does weaken ya laser. for riteks i dont have any problem with it. used couple of media of different type and stick to whichever work best for u
