Challenge: CD games that can't be converted to DVD using the normal tools.

Hi there... I'm trying to convert as much CD games as I can to DVD.
It's a known fact that the slim models laser unit won't last when reading cds.
So, i'll be updating this list with the games that I couldn't convert to dvd using the regular tools.
All games are NTSC/U otherwise mentionated. Also, feel free to include any entry... and i'll try to convert it and post the instructions telling how to if I suceeed.
Also, note that conversion using UltraEdit are of no use, the games have to work with any modchip, not only ESR.

Tekken Tag Tournament (Success!)
Ninja Assault
Rumble Racing (Success!)
Quake 3
Timesplitters
Maximo: Ghosts To Glory (Success!)
Speed Kings
Jeremy McGrath - Supercross World 2002 (Success!)
Crazy Taxi (Success!)
Street Fighter EX3 (Patched the main elf file... iopctrl.irx still need some work.. help?)

If you can help converting any of the games from the list, let me know and i'll update the list.

i have tried converting tekken tag and used dvdgen and i have been able to make the snes station, pgen to dvd and also code breaker but tekken tag gave me issues and will just not boot at all, what u did exactly?

Hey spkleader, for Tekken Tag, did u use the patch found in the freevast thread? I haven't had the chance to try it out yet. And I'm interested in how you got Rumble Racing and Maximo converted because those were two that I've messed around with and gave up on a while ago due to frustration.

sk8rping: I'm writting a program to patch such games... If I fail, i'll just release the ppf patches (will take more time)

Right now I'm have a bad time with TimeSplitters 1... it uses the same check as Maximo, BUT it doesn't boot in dvd ... oh well..

I too am working on converting Timesplitters. Now, SPK, I have a question. I just want to be clear. When you tried to convert Timesplitters to DVD, did you try it with a modchip also? or just ESR?

And what is the maximo check string and which file is it in (IMG or ELF).

Ok, Thank you for your info. We know now that the timesplitters dilemma is NOT ESR RELATED (as I suspected) since you are using a chip. I will inform if I get any further.
