CDRWIN 5.0 Which function to Burn with

I have used CDRWIN for about 3 years and always selected the record disk option.

I just obtained CDRWIN 5.0 and am not sure which function to select to burn a DVD or CDR. Is there a thread on this and what settings to have on the program before burning.

I was able to obtain these settings when I burn CDR's . Or if there is a site can you provide it. Thanks

The real CDRWin from Goldenhawk.com can't burn DVDs, only CDs and is currently at v3.9B. The v5.0 copy you have is a German knock-off.

Locate and obtain a copy of RecordNow. I believe there's a trial version over at www.stompinc.com. Also D/L and apply the Px Engine update to handle any split GI files you run into later.

Thanks Balto, I have a bin and cue file of a DVD rip for PS2. I have been burning CDR's of PS2 games for 2 years. I now have the DVD burner which should burn CDR's and DVD's.

My version one PS2 is moded with a neo key. I have to decide when I will venture to the latest mode and take the risk of soldering more than one wire. So in the meantime I am still pulling DVD rips to put on CDR's.

I am trying to get by with only one burner. The Pioneer DVD-104 which will burn both DVD's and CDR's. Many of the PS2 rips go on CDR's but the goldenhawk version of CDRWIN 3.9B will not burn these.

Here is the error message that appears when I try to record in CDRWIN 3.9b:

Error Start DAO recording command failed on device 1.0.0 Cuesheet was rejected by CDROM recorder


I also have PrimoDVD.If this can burn DVD rips on a CDR. Please point me to the function to select the cue file and burn the bin. Thanks in advance . Have a great holiday

What interface mode do you have your 104 set up for under your OS? UltraDMA or PIO? See the Sticky at the top of this forum for more details.

If nothing else, you could locate the bin2iso utility and convert the Bin (i.e. strip the CDRWin ECC data) to an Iso file and use Primo to burn that to a CD-R.
