Alright I have cdrwin 3.9. I used to use 3.8 but then I got a dvd burner and 3.8 didn't support it. 3.9 does, but I can't seem to find how to change the settings to cdrom-xa or mode 2. If not do you guys recommend burning with different software, which ones? I'm burning .iso's because I use nomod patches.

If your loading a cue file, it will automatically set the proper format for you.

In your Primo/RecordNow products, you set this option for Data CD's from the "Edit" drop down menu while in the Full Application view. Select "Recording Options" from the drop down list and look in the CD section to set the Type, Mode, and File System. It Defaults to TOA (not Closed), Mode 1, Microsoft Joliet.

If you are creating from an image, you need to select the image's cue file when you burn it--not the image itself. This file is very small--usually only 1KB--and sets up the Mode, PreGap, etc. settings for the burning software. .bin files will have a .cue file to load, CloneCD uses a .ccd format, Primo/RNM still labels it as .gi.

If it ain't broke don't try to fix it! But, hell if you can tweak that bastard just a little bit more....hehehe.

No I'm only loading the .iso file. The .iso file is created after using the nomod patches. I know how to burn .cue/.bin. In cdrwin 3.8 there used to be an option for cdrom-xa and mode2 at the bottom of 'File Backup and Tools.' It's missing in 3.9, I'm looking for something that can let me change those settings to let me burn this.

    GRRRR!
My new burner isn't supported in 3.9a. It's been ages since I used CDRWIN. Have you tried loading a cue file for it? If you don't have one, you could try this out. I think I've got the syntax right. Like I said, it's been a while.

    FILE ?C:\PS2.ISO? BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    POSTGAP 00:02:00

Just copy/paste that into notepad, edit the name and path to your .iso file and save it as a .cue file and click the "Load Cue File" button and it should set it up automatically.

i dont see why in the hell anyone still bothers with cdrwin. it's ridiculously limited, not to mention outdated. a few years ago it used to be the only program to burn bin/cue files right, but that time has passed.

go get alcohol or recordnow so you dont have to fiddle with this crap and save yourself the trouble.

Yeah, I pretty much stick to the DVDDecrypter, Primo/RNM,and clony products anymore--depending on what I'm doing. I think DVDDecrypter will let you force a mode 2 on an ISO--not sure....will have to look into that next time I have an ISO to burn.

N E way.....hope I got that script right......could someone verify this just in case?

    Thanks!
