Which CD-R's to use? –
09-27-2009,09:42 PM
I don't have any problem when I burn backups to DVD-R, but when I burn back-ups to CD-R's (PS1 games and some PS2) my PS2 makes lots of funny noises. Sometimes I hear clicking before the game boots, and one I did last night made a continuous squeaking sound as the game ran. I want to avoid unnecessary wear on the laser.
I've been burning with IMGBURN at 16x.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a particular brand of CD-R's I should use?

What I'm doing is burning ISO's I downloaded.
I'm thinking the problem could just be the quality of the CD's I'm using...I'm going to see if I can find the Verbatim ones.
