CD backups shaking
Hi,
I've been trying to burn the following CD games without success
Resident Evil 3
Samurai Spirits Zero
I created CD-R backups using Verbatim DataLifePlus, which is supposed to be the best medium for CD-Rs. But, what happened is it will load OK, but the screen will shake like crazy, making it totally unplayable. I burned using Alcohol 120% at 4X speed.
I'm using v7 PS2 with Matrix Infinity chip.
Does anybody know why this is happenning? How do I fix this?
Some CD-R backups that I created using the exact same setup worked OK.
As for Samurai Spirits, although it shakes on most screens, on some screens it works OK.
Thanks

what tvstandard do you have where you live and what standard does the games use -- ask yourself these two question and you might find the answer..

I have NTSC TV. I live in Canada. The games are NTSC J and NTSC US.
Thanks

hmm.. that seems strange.. do you experience the same problems when you play the originals? or did you download the images from the internet? try other images if you can! have you experienced this problem before with other games? with other originals?

describe the shake....does the screen fliker up and down...or shake as if someone is twisting your head...
-
wedgehog,
Yes, they are downloaded images. I had no problems with other downloaded images, including both CDs and DVDs. No other problems with anything else including originals (Not originals of those 2 games) or backups. Just those 2 games.
Another thing I've noticed is that Infinity related screens, including config screen, flash upgrade screen, and Infinity Manager screen shake as well.
agee,
The shake feels like Someone grabbing hold of the image on the screen and moving it up and down diagonally.
Thanks

Pal ?
does the image you DL have PAL in it somewhere? , don't use those.. ;)
-
No,
One is NTSC-J. The other is NTSC US, I believe. If it were PAL, it wouldn't even load as Resident Evil 3 PAL needs protection patch
