hey. i just bought a ps2 and learned about the method to burn games without the mod chip. this is what i did...and i checked it and retried it 3-4 times, and still doesn't work.
(i used nba live 2002--rented from blockbuster)

1) i used cdrwin v4 and extracted the .bin & .cue files

2) i used 2sp patcher and patched the bin file with "raw" selected (it took like 2 seconds which is different from when i used paradox patcher and it took like 30 min)

3) i used fireburner to burn the cue file (and even tried doing it by burning the bin file as well) onto a Verbatim cdr....with close session, TOA, and eject cd as the only boxes checked...and it did it at 1x speed.

4) i have gameshark 2 and put that in my ps2...selected "start game" and "without". then i used the knife method, pushed the pin to the right, slowly took out the gs2...put in the burned nba live cd, pushed the tray back in, pushed the pin back to the left...and press "x".

all it does is freeze...nothing pops up. can someone please tell me if they know what i'm doing wrong or am i missing something. thanks
