Can this fix loud cd backups??

Anybody ever hear of this for problems with loud cd backups:


"here's a tip that helps.....

you know where the playstation driver is? ..where you can set the cd speed and texture smoothing for ps1 titles? ... above that option, hit triangle on the SCPH-30001 ...

you'll see a feature called "DIAGNOSE: OFF" turn it on, then pop in an original ...

it diagnoses your system, and adjusts the lazer...

most of my friends had the LOUD clicking and shit with many dif mods, and this generally fixed the problem.

it fixes the grindin noises my ps2 makes when i insert blue discs mainly my game shark

so i guess to answer your question: i guess so, but theres gotta be a longer lasting way to fix my problem
