No one knows? Even if it is possible or not?
Do you mean a CD game that uses multiple disks to a single DVD? If so, there's a thread about it here
Basically I am just referring to one full CD game burn to a DVD-R. I know the PS2 does a DVD check so I was wondering if there was a way to add that and boot the game up.
yea i've heard of a program that patches the game, but i dont know where you could get it... sorry.

not to be rude but why would you want to waste a DVD-R on a cd based game when you can just burn it on the cheaper media, CD-R?
exactly my thoughts.....
To reduce the wear and tear on my laser. DVDR seem to run smoother. Also I just wanted to see was it possible. I have plenty of DVD-R so it is not a waste to me.
Yes it was possible! Because in HK most ppl usually buy HK silver. I saw they have some CD base games on DVD disc. Like Virtua Fighter 4, Winning Eleven 6 (Japan version, Not International), Contra, etc.... Why they put CD games on DVD disc? Because DVD cost u more $$$. I am sure there are some way to put CD base games on DVD but just no one know how to do that. >_<Originally posted by Dizmatic

thats the stupidest thing i heard in my life. A cd Game being under 72 minutes will not hurt your ps2. Its the DVD-Rips put on cd that will!
Also sorry to bust your bubble but games like Virtua Fighter 4 is a DVD in Japan. Just because a game is a CD in America does not mean its a CD in other Regions.
