    for some reason when i go to burn, or make images my burning programs are not useing any memory buffer... what could have caused this... I am using NERO ( newest version), alcohol 120, and dvd decypter

    It might have happened that your drive setting was changed to PIO mode. Check your writer DMA settings in Windows. There are reports that some writers change this settings after a firmware upgrade.

    nope it is still set to dma but i found that if i put in a pressed disk it reads it real fast and it will back it up at like 10 to 14x but on a burnt disk its really low what gives
