Burning Help –
07-08-2004,02:48 AM
I just purchase a new computer, and I'm anxious to start making some back-up copies of some of my PS2 games, I just don't know how. I need some help learning and underdstanding some of the features. I have Nero 6, which is completely new to me, so I'll need some help getting started.
I have a DVD RAM drive, which is made by LG, and it supports the following read features: CD-R, RW, DVD-RAM, ROM, -R, -RW, +R, +RW, VIDEO CD, CD TEXT, and CE ERRORS. With the following write features: CD-R, RW, DVD-RAM, -R, -RW, +R, +RW, and Buffer Underrun Protection. The drive is called: D:\HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B. The other drive is a CD-ROM Drive, with the following read features: CD-R and CD-RW. It's under E:\HL-DT-ST CD-ROM GCR-8523B
So, I'm wondering the I have the necessary drives in order to back-up a PS2 game, namely one that requires copying a DVD game onto a DVD? Since I only have a CD-ROM drive as my second drive!? How would I go by this?
I take it when I start up Nero, I go to the DVD tab, and then to copy and back-up? The next screen pops up, with a source drive, and a destination drive. With the source drive, I can change from the D:\HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B and the E:\HL-DT-ST CD-ROM GCR-8523B drive. While the destination drive, I have the option of D:\HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B and Image Recorder (CD-R/-RW).
If it's possibly, could someone give me a helping hand understanding Nero and my drives, or at least a place I can check out that will clear everything up?
Thanks

Why don't you download DVDDecrypter ? www.dvddecrypter.com (if you have a DVD burner you'll need it sooner or later) There is an iso read/write option in it, with two-three simple clicks you can copy a PS2 dvd based game. With Nero it's a little bit more complicated, but can be done, though I do not recommend you to use Nero, there are too many bugs in it. Or install RecordnowMax and you can durn anything that you need.
