well u've been fooled u can copy a dvd to cd r but u'll have to ripp some stuff out and things like that
In order to do this you must take out things from the dvd, or make them smaller sizes by various methods in order for it to fit onto a cd. These days doing this also requires cracking advanced copy protections, such as media checks, and may require the coding of extracting/rebuilding tools in C++, for large files that are like their own format archive. Ripping really isn't for anyone who is not an advanced user. Some people make small kits called ripkits that are like 5MB that allow you to rip your dvd into a cd, and the kit creator supplies in the kit all of the patches for defeating the protection and rebuilding, all you need to do is run it. some console release groups also release complete rips online, but of course it is against the forum rules to provide information on how to obtain such files.
