I know its not "best practice" to burn discs at 4x, but holding up my computer burner for 30 minutes a piece is way too long. I've been looking to the new 4x media available. I have a Sony DRU500a. I'm ordering this DVD+R sample pack to test it, not bad seeing how you get 12 discs for 20 bucks, worse come to worse I can use these for backup/movie DVDs...

Anyhow, my questions are, to all who have tried 4x burning:
1. 4x media, does it make a difference? I believe everyone loves Ritek (hell all my 2x-R and 2.4x+R are Riteks). That same site, meritline, sell 4x-R for 105 bucks 100 discs. I am VERY tempted to get that.
2. Sony DRU on 4x-R. Do they even burn at 4x? Anyone who has a Sony drive care to share? I know they will def work on Pioneer a05 or newer versions.
oh yeah my ps2 is NTSC Jap 30000 with Magic 3.1 chip. Work perfect now with all 1x/2x-R I ever tried and both Ritek/TDK 2.4x+R's.
thanks :)
