    Hello,

Just downloaded Manhunt in .rar format. Any special procedure to follow to burn it on DVD-R or can I just decompress it and burn all the files on the DVD?

    Thanks,

    Sparrow

This process is not supported and should not be discussed here--there are very straightforward rules about this type of content (not to mention the legal stuff). Please return to your source for details on completeing this process.

    Thanks

If it ain't broke don't try to fix it! But, hell if you can tweak that bastard just a little bit more....hehehe.

Sorry Dude, didn't realize that this wasn't an appropriate question.

I guess I didn't realize that the people who make a copy of a PS2 game they own did so only to have a back up copy....

    But thanks for the heads-up.

    Cheers,

    Sparrow

I might be able i to help you, but that is only if you 'own' it, yet can't 'leaglly' copy it due to 'technical' reasons and were 'forced' to d/l it to 'protect' your 'investment'

Its to prevent great forums like these from being shut down. So no illegals stuff. We all "back up" games here.

Can forums really be "shut down"? I mean, if you're talking about illegal things, doesn't that fall under freedom of speech? I think the only thing at risk is the person or people who say the things like "Just downloaded Manhunt in .rar format...", not the forums that they say it on. Have other forums been shut down before?

there's no point in trying to guess the legality of it since i doubt anyone here is a lawyer. if the legality of it is questionable, and the admins have said not to conduct questionable discussions, then dont do it. simple as that.

I'm only responding to gochun's message, "Its to prevent great forums like these from being shut down."

I just want to know if that's ever happened before.

P.S. Are lawyers the only people who can discuss whether or not things are legal?

did i say lawyers were the only ones that could discuss it? no.

i implied that most people here probably arent qualified to be able to say whether or not something is legal and be correct about it.

and i also thought i made clear that it doesnt matter if another board has been shut down before, if the admins say no then the answer is no. go discuss it in the off-topic section because it has nothing to do with ps2's, ps2 dvd-r's, or burning ps2 games into dvd-r.
