DVD-R Recording and Dust by J Beale

I check my dvd-r discs with a maglite torch and some of them have these spots.CD speed(scandisc) reports no errors.
The dark coloured spots i had skipping sound/pixelate on playback on a home dvd player.
Does this mean my dvdr movies are ruined. Will this affect ps2 games(read error).
Is it a waste of money buying compressed air(aerosol can) to clean the dust of the dvdr before burning.

This is rather a defected media, probably a low quality one. I have seen these type of errors on several disks like Thinkextra, Princo, Budget for example and on many more low quality shit. If you do a Scandisk test it will tell you nothing. Do a PI/PO test and see what happens on those areas... And wonder how long the data will last there. (and what will read that later...)

    regards, Stephen
