Hey guys, I was just curious to see what brands of DVD+R you've had luck with. I've only tried Verbatim, TDK and HP, and of the three TDK seem to be the only ones that work at all.

Also, where's a good place to get a 50-pack? My local CompUSA has them for $2 single packs, and that's about the best deal I've been able to find.

    Thanks

i've never seen +r's in spindles before. I think that might have something to do with the licensing. Because it's a competing standard, the companies that own that standard a keeping a tight grip on the manufacturing of the media. Whereas with -r it's really almost a free for all.

The only other brands of +r media i've seen are sony and ricoh.

    Hope it helps,

Well, around here there are a bunch of DVD+R brands to pick from and I've found that most of them work ok with PS2 backups.
There's Verbatim, TDK, Ricoh, Sony, HP, Hi-Space, Memorex and Princo. Of all these, only Princo's DVD+Rs seem to work less well, they are the less reflective discs of all of the mentioned above.

I usually stick to TDK and HP, mainly because they are easier to find in larger quantities and by far offer the best price-quality ratio.

    Regards!
