most dvd ps2 games with the exception of only a couple are dvd5... most dvd movies with exception of a few are dvd9... the way to tell with movies is to look at the bottom.. if it's silver it's dvd5 if it's got a goldy tinge then its dvd9..

    hope it helps,

    Not always - true.

    Maybe true for PS2 games.

But for movies. You will find some DVD9 that are silver. For instance Monsters Inc.

Sure bet if it says DUAL LAYER in the back it is DVD9 for sure.

But NOT all will say DUAL LAYER even though it is DVD9 (like Monsters Inc.)

This is also the case, best way to find out is to look at the TOC on your DVD drive. I had a copy of THPS3 pressed in HongKong. The bottom was golden (but I knew better) It was still a DVD5. Looks can be deceiving...

I just got Gran Turismo 2002 Tokyo - Geneva (NTSC JAP) and that shit is DVD9. That shit will NOT play on my modded Mag - 2 V7 (piece of shit).

The center does show TWO (2) serial numbers.

Hell I cant even create 8 GB GIs for this game.

Looks like Im a have to resort to the Mag - 3 or the Mess - 2

    K2K3,

Try booting that disc behind a GS2. Boot the GS2 and select Without Codes. Then swap in the GT2002 disc. Should work according to Charlie...
