I see here tons of topics on wat media is the best. I found something

    CD-R Media
The following CD-R media are the best for backing up PSX, PS2 & DC games:

    Top Vendor Factory Dye Color
1 Verbatim DataLifePlus Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation BLUE
    2 TDK Reflex TDK BLUE
3 Philips Premium Silver Taiyo Yuden BLUE
Sony CDQ-BN / CN / BP Taiyo Yuden BLUE
    4 Kodak Kodak GOLD

The above vendor list is purely based on our own experiences copying PSX Games.
Keep in mind that some Vendors change to another Factory, sometimes these CD-R media don't work on a PSX! Use CDR Identifier to see in which Factory the CD-R is actually made! Keep away from CD-R media which is made in the Ritek, CMC or Princo factories - usually this applies for all low-budget media made in Taiwan!

Source: some random ps2 file I got of kazza. I'm sure its on the net somewhere
