Which brand's CDR are best 4 PS2? Samsung , Sony e.t.c?? Also, does any1 know if MMore Cds are good?? They're pretty cheap here.

I also searched for the"princo" cds mentioned by dust4dust... not available anywhere here.

I heard Verbatim is good cd-r media for the ps2. You can get those in many computer stores.

TDK's work well on PS2 too.

I strictly use Verbatims on my own CDs, but all of my friends have had much success with TDK. Yet, for DVD-Rs I'm using some unbranded no name media cuz it's the cheapest I could find in Canada. Upside is, that they work perfectly.

Memorex 24X 700MB and 650 MB have worked well for me. The Jensen media's worked ok if burned at slow speeds. If you are burning at 2X, most "decent" media should work. Try to avoid media labeled below 16X (the higher speeds generally have better reflective layers). I've steered clear of in-house branded media (specifically Office Depot and Circuit City) because they have not worked well with my Audio CD-Players, so I expect they will not work well in my PS2 either).

    Good Luck!

No experience with them, but have seen several posts bashing them on other forums. Best rule of thumb on CDR media--look for strong reflectivity. Don't strain that laser any more then needed.

    WTF?
Searching for Princo cd's is the most stupid idea, sorry but that's true.
I have lot's of ps2 games in princo cd's- i bought them with games already burned. When i bought them they were working(but not great). Now these cd's is about half year old, and older, few days ago i tried to play a princo cd.And it didn't booted- red screen of death, firstly i thought that it was a problem of mod, then i tried other games on princo media, and they also didn't worked. All my princo cd's are clean and not scratched. Then i tried games burned on other brand's cd's, and they worked perfectly, some of those cd's were even cheaper than Princo's, and some were older than princos. On my PS2 worked just a Princo game, which was burned few days ago.Princos are very limited life cd's. My verbatims works great, also Maxell is good, but most often i use ACME brand cd's- but you can get these only in Lithuania(i live there)and in some east Europe countries, because they are made in Lithuania. ACME cd's are even cheaper than Princos, and quality is near Verbatim(for 1 dolar you can get 3 cd's without cases)
