Trying to play a DVD-R version of Mercenaries, but it locks up at the ESRB rating notification. I've done some searching and most people seem to think this is because my orig-toc-dvd is smaller than the backup. I usually use GTA3.

Are they correct? Do I need a bigger original game?

If so, anyone know where I can find a list of games and their respective file sizes?

GT3 is around 3.8 GB I believe, Merc is a full disc...that will definitely give you problems.

You sig says you have HDL, why not just dump it to the HDD, that's how I play it.

Mercenaries locks up at that screen even with using GTA: Vice City as the boot disc. The Devil May Cry Demo boots it fine though. I personally rebuilt the game and it made it smaller (with nothing ripped out or missing) and it boots fine with Vice City. I also did it with NBA Street Vol.3 and Nightshade.

PM me and I'll give you the link and let you know what programs to get/use if you want.

There are only 4 DVD games I have come across (so far) that will not load with Vice City as the boot disc:

    Mercenaries (USA)
    NBA Street Vol.3 (USA)
    Sonic Heroes (Japan)
    Nightshade (USA)

My HDD is too slow to play games comfortably. Load times are longer than with a disc, and any streaming content (audio or movie files) skip and stutter. Otherwise I would

    Electric, you have a PM.
