backups without a pre-groove vs the others

i buy backups from a nearby store,which is legal in my country,they give u the game in a box with the same box art as the original,and the disc has the same art too as the original,and at the back of the disc is silver with no demarcation line (pre groove).
the story is that a few days ago i bought a game that has that line,what's the difference?and can any of them harm my laser over the other?

well here in Iraq everything is legal .

Here in Mexico its not legal per se... but they tend to have a blind eye when it comes to piracy... just saying.
