I'm currently making a backup of Medal Of Honor European Assualt. I used DVD Decrypter made the image burned it with alchol 120 and put in my ps2 and it just sits there saying reading disc...

My PS2 has a (Real) Matrix Infinity in it and was properly installed. For some reason it reads my games sometimes and sometimes it just wont. I've switched the whole CD unit out with another I had laying around and it boots regulars just fine. It came from a V4 PS2 (Mine is also a V4 ps2). Im using DVD+R's from Memorex as well. I recently backed up Tony Hawks Underground 2 and it works great. Why not this game? Any tips maybe i'm doing something wrong?

    Thanks.

DVD-R burned at 4x still will not read. Is there some reason Medal Of Honor European Assualt will not copy? I don't understand it boots up my other backups just fine normally. Why will this game not boot?

A couple months ago I was having a problem where my ps2 (v4/usa/no-gap) wouldn't read any of the new burns that I was doing... Yet, it was able to read my older burns....

It turns out that my burner (pioneer A04) had worn out I guess... So I bought a new pioneer A09, burned a couple of back-ups and I was good to go... Games booted up w/out any problems and/or skipping... I burned at 4x using Verbatims...

Maybe it's yer burner that's dying out??

Welp I believe I found what the problem is. The laser is just really bad needs to be changed out for sure. Will boot cds great. DVDs when it kinda feels like it. I've been able to play all my games currently. Just wont play Wangan Midnight (CD or DVD) goes to a black screen flickers and thats it. Thats the game I really want to play haha but Im still tryin to get it to work as far as the laser guess im gonna buy a new one.

Media make a huge difference. I would try burning the image with DVD Decrypter rather than using Alcohol 120%. Seems to be more dependable. Read the following link for more info:
