I would like to know if there is anyway to modify a backup copy of gameshark. Specifically add codes to it before you burn it.

Nope.
I'll bet you a whole dollar that you CAN'T backup that gameshark disc, it's impossible to copy, I pulled it off, but with pure skill, and remastering (to cd-r, and now, dvd-r for for swappers, no "double-swapping" in the dvd toc, anymore), it won't be copied, try it.

I don't even know who's side I am on.I ended up remastering the thing right from the start, I never actually copied it, and I used my hex editor to open, then resave the file "BIG.DAT", which was the monster bitch to transfer, it's some kind of loop file from hell. I made a dvd-r remaster that once started from sm dvd, lets you swap out for another dvd-r game like cd-r's from the original cd gs2, no "double swapping" tricks, it's for running codes playing copies.
