Apologies if this is an obvious question. I can't see a thread in the forum.
How many ps2's are dvd 9?
If there are lots, can they be backed up on 4.7g dvd r's?
What program is used to do so?
Thanks

Take a look on my site PS2 Place and go to the TOC List section. Any games over 4.39GB are DVD9. There aren't many but they are sure to increase in number.
No they can not be backed up to dvd-r, unless you are able to find a rip kit. Like the Xenosaga rip, they downsampled the video sequences to allow it to fit onto a dvdr.

yes they can made by yourself. u just got to reencode the mpeg2 movies to a lower bitrate (can be done with tmpgenc). It just takes some time. First u need a software to make a mpg2 out of the pss files (i just dont know the name).
Isn't that exactly what I said?
DOH! That's what the rip kit does for you--without all the headaches of trying to figure out the best re-encoding parameters by yourself.Originally posted by FaridHA
