Hi people. I have a question about turning off Auto Insert Notification in Win XP. I have checked previous threads and have learnt that I could either check "take no action" for each thing in the cdrom properties. Also we can turn it off using Regedit and going to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/system/CurrentControlSet/Services/Cdrom

then changing the value in AutoRun to 0 from 1. BUT my main concern is from the RecordNow Max tutorial given in this Forum, it says the software should display "Auto Insert Notication OFF" and "AutoShield On" but mine only says "AutoShield ON" even after applying the two changes noted above. So I was wondering what I am doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. thx

thx, but the thing is I don't see auto insert notification text at the bottom at all in RecordNow Max. All I see is AutoShield On.

I don't think it is important. I never turn it off and have never had a bad burn.
