    Let me start by saying i am no expert. I bought a premod from snow and I really have no idea whats inside only that it works flawlessly (just drop in a cd and hit reset).

    I have backed up about 10 dvd+r and all ran with np except the two towers which is an ea game. I have made 3 copies of this using nero(latest update) and all three times the result is the same when it tries to boot I get the memory card screen.

    any suggestions would be helpful since its due back on monday :}

    Try using Primo DVD or RecordNow Max to back up that game... Nero works for most games, but not all...

    I backed up that game no problem with Recordnow, so he is probably right about Nero.

    I use Nero, and what you need to do is enable raw data reading. You can check both of those boxes saying force raw reading in the disc layout options. You need to burn them at 1x also using Nero, I have had trouble booting games burned over 1x. Also, you might want to get the newest version of Nero, it supports DVD Burners much better than the first releases that supported them. Best of luck!

    I backed up The Two Towers just the other day using Nero. The game works perfectly - booting every single time. My Nero version is pretty recent (downloaded about a month or so ago) and my burner is just a Memorex DVD+R/RW. I didn't do an on-the-fly copy, and burned at 2.4x onto Verbatim DVD+R media.

    I gave up trying to burn that game after I made about 5 coasters. Weird thing is I have not had a problem with anything else (just burned vice last night with np). I have the latest version of nero(bought and paid for not D/L from a newsgroup).

    Another odd thing happened last night with scooby night of 1k frights. nero did not reconize it in the burner which i thought was odd. Granted i have a cheap burner (I/O magic which is a philips 6000) and have burned many many movies and games but those 2 discs just did not take.

    thanks for all the ideas posted

    ps. With all the BS that was going on with snow i have to say the mod he did for me is unreal. I have had it for about 2 weeks and every god damn thing boots just by putting it in and hitting reset. I sure wish I knew what chip was inside LOL
