Advice on "Maxmax" DVD-R media please?

Hi, I'm just curious if anyone could shed some light about these "Maxmax" DVD-R 1x media. They sell for 2.50$ a piece around my area, was just wondering if they were any good.

for $2.50 might as well buy verbatims....thats my opinion on it....since every game I burn with verbatim works and sometimes not with other media

Hmm, sorry forgot to say it's in canadian currency. Verbatims cost me 9.99 + tax over here... would u still say it's not worth it to buy these Maxmax's though?
