I'm trying to work out where the Linux files are stored on the ps3 hdd. I have searched around but I can't work out if everything is saved inside the linux.img file or if it's all stored somewhere else that I haven't managed to find yet, does anyone know?

I know it's probably a noob question but after searching the net and the ps3 hdd I have yet to find an answer.

soo far all linux os are stored in .img format on the root section of the drive..

you can not work outside the .img the most part.

theres a advance ext4 installing of linux on the ps3 but Not aobut to explain how to do that.

    --------

moral of the story you can not use linux to browse and edit the ps3 HDD...

you can also put Debian V3 on a thumb Drive as well but it too as to be on the root part of the drive... useing a thumb drive you can do a advance installion and add a EXT4 partion to it as well but I won't get into that
