No, it STILL doesn't specify what you wanted. SOURCE CODE FOR WHAT? I already explained it to you.
I asked if there was a link to the source code. If that doesn't specify what I wanted then I don't know what will.
Really? Then you should obviously spend more time testing. Since I don't know anything, maybe I'll just type this from my debian installation on my PS3. Or should I type it from my Gentoo installation on my other one? Pic related.
So I'll repeat this again, unless you have even an inkling of a clue about what I'm asking, leave it too someone who does. You obviously haven't a clue how the PS3 works, and how linux works on the PS3 so leave it to someone who does! When you've spent as much time as I have testing most of the major distro's on the PS3, then you can come talk too me. I know exactly what I'm talking about which is why I'm asking for the install process source code.
Of course it doesn't! Okay, you tell me why they freeze then. I know the answer. Do you?
But let me explain it too you. Gentoo, Archlinux, insert distro here, are not compatible straight out of the box with the PS3. Their powerPC liveCD's always freeze during the initial boot after selecting them on the petitboot menu.
Okay, I'll ask you again..What's the "thing" that's custom tailored for the PS3? Again, the answer is not "installer." Good luck finding your custom bits btw, whatever those are.
This custom made distro, like the debian net installer offered by gitbrew.org are 100% custom tailored for the PS3. Which is why they work. I want the source code for the custom bits so I can start compiling various distro's.
Stop teasing us with your guide that you never wrote. How about you actually perform an actual installation before you write the guide.
Consider this conundrum otheros.bld v2.0. Just like distro's designed for 3.15 like YDL won't work out of the box on the 3.41 and 3.55 version of OtherOS. That's because they are specifically designed for those methods!!! While they will work through other means I'm basically saying they won't work simply by burning, and installing. Which is what I want to do with various distro's to improve the feasibility and ease of access for new users, considering I'm making a linux guide.
I'm not even going to go through this again...
Again I asked for a link to the source code. If you don't know what that is, it doesn't pertain to you. So yes I did specify what I was asking for.
Since you're the expert, you should tell me what the different steps are. I'd like to know.
Again the PS3 has low compatibility with the distro's that are out now in respects to a live CD based install. Debian is the only CD I have found that works out of the box. All the other's require different steps, and some just plain don't work.
Now for the last time, quit responding too me because you obviously can't answer the question that I was asking. - THANK YOU!
EDIT: I'm sorry but you have no clue what your on about. So I can't for the life of me figure out why you persist in trying to say I'm wrong. Yes this requires petitboot and otherOS++, her derp. Every distro requires that for 3.41 and 3.55. I'm talking about how they actually get the distro to do the install from the PS3, and actually boot into the liveCD after the petitboot menu. READ ABOVE!
You are wrong. So, stop talking. Now.
