Alright, let the flaming begin.
Ok, I did search and didn't see any useful hits.
Basically I was using my Sandisk Sansa e260 with rockbox on it to jailbreak my unit which is now depracated to launch a PL3 payload, but it is now out of commission.
HW info
PS3 Slim
OFW 3.41
Desired result: multiboot GameOS and Linux (OtherOS)
Preference: Signed package to install CFW and or bootloader for Linux
With the recent advancements in package signing, is it possible to install either kmeaw CFW or some other package that will enable Linux support for the PS3 Slim? I know fail0verflow released some vids and basic info a while back. But could someone point me to some good info? (I am a Linux Engineer so the Linux part is fine). But with all the news lately and forum activity there is loads of information that might just not be current.
I have been holding off on any of the recent developments for the obvious potential bricking scenarios.
Thanks, and thanks again!

To keeps short, simple (use Google next time please, this has already been solved), and nice, I'll answer you.
There's something called AsbestOS Installer which will let you install and run linux on your ps3. I'll even post a link.
Look at this first: Here/

w3rd and thanks, I haven't reviewed it yet, but I was really just looking for a push in the right direction... I had done some reading that asbestos, was being deprecated for fail0verflows efforts (which I believe marcan is a member). I will give this a try.
Thanks for replying
... I'll admit I've been a troll lately but it is so hard to sift through all this news.

AsbestOS *is* marcan's effort.
Or rather, that's how it started, other folks have been putting in a lot of effort lately too.
And yes, you want kmeaw 3.55

Only if you add 3rd party controller support.
