    You dont need a video

    In petitboot press the escape ESC button its usually at the top left of your keyboard

    To telnet make sure your pc is on the same network as you ps3 (connected to the same router) and then on your pc START RUN CMD in the terminal that has just opened type
    telnet (the internet address of your ps3 EG. 192.168.0.3)

    I think you need to read a bit more before you try and install this if you dont want to F up your ps3

    Have you followed all the instructions for your 256mb ps3? from here word for word http://7track.org/~glevand/public/IN...OTHEROS_ON_HDD ?

    when you are in petitboot no 9. go to your pc make sure your on the same network as your ps3

    download a better telnet prog i use erics telnet 98 download the free trial and install it then open it

    type in your host name (ps3 address) change the profile to linux then change the protocol to telnet then press connect

    you should now have a screen which says ps3 linux with a prompt

    then copy and paste
    2 cd /tmp
    3 wget http://gititbit.ch/chddR
    4 chmod 755 create_hdd_region.sh
    5 ./create_hdd_region.sh

    there is a post somewhere about putting it on a usb stick and doing it from there

    also read
    http://wiki.gitbrew.org/index.php/PS3:OtherOS++
    http://wiki.gitbrew.org/index.php/PS3:Linux

    If you follow the guides word for word you should have a working linux on your ps3
