OtherOS++ NAND PS3 Brick

Ooookay.

It would appear I've bricked a CECHC03 whilst attempting OtherOS++ install. A quick google reveals that this is happening to a few others.

Rebug 3.55.1 with OtherOS++ modded in.
Followed instructions on Gitbrew and everything appeared to go perfectly (bleeps etc) on first boot to petitboot PS3 appears to come up as normal, beeps in correct places etc. but there is no output to TV.

Tried hard reset, tried to boot to service mode... Same deal.

This would appear to indicate that I've fried the NAND and have a nice shiny black doorstop.


As I said I've noticed a few other examples of this happening so it's worth bearing in mind.

3.55 OtherOS++ enabled firmware installed

So many sources.... Read OtherOS++ Now supports NAND and 2+2=5...

Hey I had a very similar issue. Are you receiving any errors in recovery mode while attempting any action in recovery? If so attempt a service mode downgrade. I just fixed an issue with OtherOS++ corrupting my system. Went to goto OFW after CFW, went to recovery mode and my system gave me "8002F271 failure to format..." and "Incorrect Hard Disk" or "Hard Disk Not Accessible". Thanks to "bitsbubba" and one other user, I was reminded that it is possible to attempt a downgrade with a Ti-84 calc, Iphone 3g, Ipod 1/2g, USB Hex Dongle, etc. Goto 3.41CFW, then a slightly lower firmware OFW. I went to 3.15 then back upto 3.55. All was good. No black or blue screen no more errors, now running 3.55 CFW Kmeaw QA.

Can't get into recovery or FSM. There's no output from the PS at all, no signal to the TV and the controllers won't pair.

Just have to suck it up & hope I can find another <3.56 machine somewhere.

First thing you gotta do is calm down, heh. The same thing happened to me all I got was a blue screen, same cause too...tried the otheros++ tool from rebug without reading first on my launch 60gb.

You don't need output to the TV to get into recovery mode, its all in the pattern to press the power button, and it should work.

Long story short, I still had a teensy++ 2.0 so I loaded up the FSM hex and booted up and successfully downgraded to 3.41 (the 3.40) and back up to Kmeaw 3.55 now everything works as before other then all the lost data from before.

I'm using a HTC Hero with an FSM payload. Not doing anything unfortunately. I'll try it again, although I'm not hopeful. Have a YLOD'ed Board knocking about somewhere which I'll try to reflow if I don't get anywhere. It'll teach me to read things more carefully.....

I have exactly the same problem -.- tried to install otheros++ on my CECHC (256MB) ....
My ps3 system wont boot up anymore, alway blank screen (no signal).
I have access to the recovery menu. But no option there works for me.

I always get this 8002f271 error or my hard drive can not be found.

I tried to format the harddrive with my computer without a success :'-(

Now I saw this thread and read something about a FSM Payload. What is this "FSM"?

Please help me to resurrect my ps3

FSM is service mode.
If you can access recovery, maybe this will work for you. Look at the 3.55 service mode tutorial (you will lose BD playback, but can't help it I guess ).

Ok i think i got my ps3 into factory mode. I still have a blank screen but my iphone with psfreedom jig running displayed the right response and after that my ps3 turned off successfully.

Can someone send me the downgrade files because i cant find them?

My installed firmware was rebug 3.55.2
