It sure is a ton more memory then the PS3, but CAD is using 800MB, then windows, so not a whole lot more then 2-300MB free, but I have a large swap file on a different drive..

Good idea on the swap drive on USB.. I have an old 4GB but extremely fast drive I got a little while ago (Ready boost Drive, Raw mobo USB connector on it). This little bugger has 40MB/s read, 25MB/s Write. I'll hack on a connector, or internallize it with a USB hub, making it a permanent swap file on the system.

Your server uses 1000watts? What are you using for, controlling satellites? lol

As for running minecraft on the ps3, linux would be using up too much of the resources. The developers would need to create some kind of standalone homebrew java launcher.
