The only differences between the different vflash resize apps is one value (I didn't make them, but that should be the only difference). I really doubt that's the problem. Read my edit.
Edit: Although looking at the first page, I may know the issue. create vflash7 should be modified for 10gb (or whatever resize vflash used), I'm only seeing one create vflash7, so I'm guessing that the ps3 partition table is being screwed up because it's trying to create a 40gb (or whatever) vflash7 when there's only 10gb (or whatever). There needs to be a separate create vflash7 for each resize vflash. I can't remember right now, but that should be the only one you need to change. George234 you should look into this. It's #define VFLASH_REGION_SECTOR_COUNT you need to change.
freeloader247 This is probably the cause of the problem you're having.

Also, not that it's hard to compile, but here's udp_printf_client for windows, I noticed that you only had a linux version uploaded.

Sorry for the triple-post, merge if you see fit. Here's the modified create vflash7 for 10gb and 20gb, the original uploader forgot to include these, but here they are. So if you use the 10gb resize vflash, use the 10gb create vflash7, vice versa for 20gb, obvious, but I thought I'd point it out, use the same files for the rest though. These should fix problems some of you were having, and were made by the same person who made the others, so no worries there.

I was asked to tell anyone interested you can install Gentoo from source via the network, even for Debian via chroot or with netinstall iso by cryptr. All not too hard, and a Ubuntu 11.04 iso is being worked on.
ok well now i HAVE to get this going. Seems in backing up trying to restore my ps3 hd i acquired some bad sectors on my external (yay) I read once they start going it's time for a new drive.
So what is the deal with this and the booting install freezing up? Isn't the linux image itself supposed to be on the petitboot ? or do we have to use a cd again like the old way of doing it? or like cookie said is something wrong with the files themselves? I see a lot of thanking in this topic ( from me included) but did anybody actually get it running how it should?
edit: ok nevermind! just saw cookies last post, hopefully that will do the trickat first glance i thought i had those already and that george included them, but i see these ones are for flash7. Thanks cookie.
@cookie42
You say that Gentoo can be installed via netboot or Debian chroot, but I can't get a Debian image to boot without it freezing at "Booting Debian...". I might give netboot a try, but I need to set up a server for that.
ok did that and everything worked...almostI ran panic1 and now am stuck with the 4 options
netboot
boot games OS
set vid mode
exit to shell
I click netboot and get Failed: kexec tftp://10.42.42.1
should i be using an iso image on a usbdrive or something to get gentoo going?
or should i be loading petitboot with the "i am back" petitboot loader" that part confuses me too, why does panic 1 also bring it up?
Help cookie if you canwhere can i get the debian image from?
I'm going to sleep now, so I can't help too much, the links you needed were posted in the development section on grafs blog, which is down, but I backed it up and can check later.
This looks to be the link for cryptr's netinstall iso, just burn it onto a cd, and it should work afaik. http://www.cryptr.net/ps3/debian_ps3_netinst.iso
Basic readme here http://www.cryptr.net/ps3/ps3-debian.readme
Also, there was another link from before that that I used to install debian, a very basic netinstall kernel that ran from a usb to install via internet by someone else but I can't seem to find the link for that. I can look tomorrow if needed. Try the first link. Good luck.
Edit: This is the link to a backup of graf's blog including development section if anyone's interested.
