cfw installs fine
lol yea, i'm an idiot! i forgot all about the creating folder PS#/update and putting the update pup in there :P
ok now im formatting the drive again & reinstalling cfw then trying again im not sure why it is failing on me - I dont have a 256 nand
I got everything up and running now with xpreterionx tut. Now just need to install the dreaded debianthats when things always mess up for me.
no luck still fails for me
this is what i have done so far
formatted the driv 3x using the format utility
retrying install 2x
fail at create vflash 7 (possibly install otheros i hear no 2 beeps before going back to xmb) vflash process never tells me i have to format.
3rd time reinstalled cfw
tried again
fail(same reason as above)
CECHH01
I think the CECHH01 has a nand.
Also does anyone know how to boot the gentoo installation CD? I can't get it to boot from petitboot, and the method someone else was talking about using debian to do everything with chroot is causing problems. I can't get my kernel to compile because I keep getting messages when trying to run stuff like nano. The error message is something like "error opening terminal bterm."
So I'm lost lol.
If anyone can give me another method to do this that would be awesome! I have the vflash working correctly I just need a different method to start installing gentoo.
huh i didnt think it did i guess im wrong
Glad I could help m8. I'm still trying to figure out how to get gentoo working. Damn thing is hard to install. I'll probably end up installing debian and than installing gentoo after I make sure everything works.
Please include logs from udp_printf_client otherwise no one will be able to help you m8.
Yeah, he did created some HV patches, but they have nothing to do with booting linux. They just give you full access with graf's linux tools.
Ohh, and he added a "ring" to graf's tools :P
But in either way, most (99%) of the work is graf's, and this guy took all the credit to himself.
This is not the way to act when you are releasing something that the most of it isn't yours.
